a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign Amendment #2 to Agreement #5010-341 with the Alliance on Aging to provide Outreach, Long Term Care Ombudsman services, Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Services, and Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act services to Monterey County seniors, and adding $23,476 to the amended Agreement for a new contract total of $585,473; and
b. Authorize the Director or Assistant Director of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three (3) future amendments to this amended Agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($58,547) of the amended contract amount, do not significantly change the scope of work, and do not exceed the maximum aggregate amount of $644,020.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This Amendment adds funds to support Monterey County seniors through the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP), State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), and Ombudsman services.
