SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On April 26,2022 Natividad Medical Center (NMC) went to the Board of Supervisors to advertise for three (3) new JOC contracts. The bid was then advertised on April 28 and May 5, 2022 in the Monterey County Weekly. The mandatory bidders meeting was held on May 12, 2022 and bids were opened on May 26, 2022.

On June 12, 2022 the Monterey Board of Supervisors awarded three new one-year Job Order Contracts (JOC): 2022-01 with Ausonio Incorporated., 2022-02 with Angeles Contractor, Incorporated, and 2022-03 with Newton Construction and Management.

Exhibit A provides the status of JOC projects for the reporting period, as well as other required data including: contractor, number of contractor evaluations completed, and 50% local employment compliance information for the projects. Exhibit B provides required contractor evaluations for completed JOC projects.

Projects implemented through the JOC Program include approved projects over $100,000 listed in Natividad's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and smaller maintenance and repair projects under $100,000 that are not specifically listed in the CIP but funded through Natividad's approved operational budget.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
Natividad Medical Center coordinated the preparation of JOCs with Contracts/Purchasing and the Auditor-Controller.

FINANCING:
The funds for these projects are in approved capital from FY 2021-22 or within NMC's operational expense budget. A five percent (5%) License Fee for utilization of the JOC program is also payable upon the issuance of a Job Order to the Gordian Group.
