RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
A. Approve agreement to appoint Dr. Gary Gray as Natividad Medical Center Chief Executive Officer in an annual amount of $418,184.85.
B. Authorize Chair of the Board to execute agreement.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
For many years, Dr. Gary Gray has been committed to the mission of Natividad Medical Center. He has served as primary a care physician, Chief of Staff, Residency Director, Chief of Family Medicine, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and since February, 2015, Dr. Gray has been the Interim CEO and CMO. Over the years, Dr. Gray has been instrumental in many significant changes at NMC, including achieving the designation as a level II trauma center. After a national search for a CEO, the Board selected Dr. Gray, subject to approval of this employment agreement.

County Administration coordinated the recruitment.
FINANCING:
Compensation is within adopted budget.
