RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Accept a $14,050 Grant Award from the State of California Department of Public Health ("CDPH") to provide evidence-based self-management interventions and instructor training to help older adults reduce arthritis-related pain; and
b. Authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute Agreement Number 16-10263 with the CDPH for the grant period of July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, for the amount not to exceed $14,050; and

The Monterey County Health Department provides education that promotes healthy and safe lifestyles and services that prevent or manage chronic disease and injury.
