RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the Board of Supervisors:
Authorize the Deputy Purchasing Agent for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or his designee to execute an agreement with Fitzgerald Enterprises, Inc. dba American Consultants for interim placement services at NMC for an amount not to exceed $500,000 with an agreement term of April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2020.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Talent acquisition can be very challenging in a continuously evolving healthcare environment. As such, American Consultants will assist NMC with searches for interim management positions who are most qualified to meet the healthcare needs of NMC and its patients.
American Consultants is a leader in national healthcare staffing services. They have an unmatched ability to identify and secure top talent for large healthcare systems and rural hospitals.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
County Counsel has reviewed and approved this agreement as to legal form and risk provisions, and the Auditor-Controller has reviewed and approved as to payment provisions. The agreement has also been reviewed and approved by NMC's Finance Committee on February 23, 2017 and by its Board of Trustees on March 3, 2017.
FINANCING:
The cost for this agreement is $500,000 of which $250,000 is included in the Fiscal Year 2016-17 Adopted Budget. Amounts for remaining years of the agreement will be included in those budgets as appropriate. There is no impact to the General Fund.
