RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors consider and adopt a Resolution to:
a. Approve the addition of the Monterey County Fire Prevention and Tree Mortality Project to the approved Work Plan for Fiscal Year 2016-17;
b. SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On December 5, 2016, the Resource Management Agency (RMA) - Public Works and Facilities Department received an award letter from California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CALFIRE) dated December 2, 2016. CALFIRE's letter informed the RMA that the County's application for the grant entitled Monterey County Fire Prevention and Tree Mortality Project was selected for funding in the amount of $200,000 (Attachment 2).
