a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign an Agreement between the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and the County of Monterey Probation Department allocating State funding in the annual amount of $324,000 for fiscal years 2018-19 and 2019-20, for a total amount of $648,000 to provide services to adult parolees participating in the Day Reporting Center operated by GEO Reentry Services, LLC; and
b. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to execute the Agreement with the State, and any related documents or amendments.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign the Agreement between the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and the County of Monterey Probation Department allocating State funding in the annual amount of $324,000 for fiscal years 2018-19 and 2019-20, for a total amount of $648,000 to provide services to adult parolees participating in the Day Reporting Center operated by GEO Reentry Services, LLC; and
b. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to execute the Agreement with the State, and any related documents or amendments.
SUMMARY:
The Probation Department is recommending approval of the Agreement with CDCR for participation of parolees to services provided by the DRC. The DRC provides access to rehabilitative services for adult offenders and parolees residing in Monterey County.
DISCUSSION:
Probation has been a partner with GEO Reentry Services, LLC since 2009 in the operation of the Day Reporting Center, which provides treatment and supervision services for adult offenders in a one-stop setting.
