RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Supervisors:
Receive a presentation regarding “Actions Necessary to Expand the Castroville Seawater Intrusion Project” from Monterey County Water Resources Agency Staff.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
A Board of Supervisor’s referral to the Monterey County Water Resources Agency (Agency) was made on the 27th of February 2018, by Supervisor Jane Parker. In the referral, Supervisor Parker requested the Agency present on “action necessary to expand the Castroville Seawater Intrusion Project (CSIP)”.
The Agency operates and maintains the CSIP. Agency staff will make a presentation on CSIP’s current operational status, the potential benefits of enhancements to the project, benefits to expansion of CSIP beyond its current boundaries, and the impediments to both enhancement and expansion.

None.
