RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Capital Improvement Committee receive a Quarterly Report on Job Order Contracting from the Resource Management Agency-Public Works, Parks and Facilities for the period ending June 30, 2018.
SUMMARY:
The Capital Improvement Committee (CIC) requested to receive quarterly reports on the Job Order Contracting (JOC) program managed by the Resource Management Agency (RMA). This quarterly report does not include information of JOC Programs managed by other agencies (e.g. NMC). RMA is currently managing 69 projects under 17 contracts:
- Six (6) 2015 JOC Contracts awarded on November 3, 2015 resulted in 83 projects totaling $14,794,374. Attachment A tracks two (2) projects under construction issued through the 2015 JOC Contracts.
- Six (6) 2016 JOC Contracts awarded on November 15, 2016 resulted in 127 projects totaling $16,307,765. Attachment B tracks thirty-seven (37) projects under construction issued through the 2016 JOC Contracts.
- Five (5) 2017 JOC Contracts awarded November 7, 2017 resulted in 38 projects totaling $5,665,868. Attachment C tracks thirty (30) projects under construction issued during this reporting period through the 2017 JOC Contracts.
During the reporting period of April 1, 2018 through June 30, 2018 RMA accomplished the following:
- 2015 JOC Contracts. One (1) project completed, no new job orders were issued.
- 2016 JOC Contracts. Twenty (20) projects completed, no new job orders were issued.
- 2017 JOC contract. Nine (9) projects completed and eighteen (18) new projects started.
RMA has been able to implement a higher volume of projects using The Gordian Group (TGG) project management services.
