a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign an agreement with Community Homeless Solutions for $162,615 to provide Monterey County Community Action Partnership priority services of Homeless Services/Emergency Shelter and Domestic Violence Prevention/ Intervention to low-income residents of Monterey County for a term of January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019; and
b. Authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three (3) amendments to this agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($16,261) of the original contract amount, and do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign an agreement with Community Homeless Solutions for $162,615 to provide Monterey County Community Action Partnership priority services of Homeless Services/Emergency Shelter and Domestic Violence Prevention/ Intervention to low-income residents of Monterey County for a term of January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Formerly known as Shelter Outreach Plus, Community Homeless Solutions plays a significant role in Monterey County as a provider of shelter and homeless services to many of the most vulnerable residents in the community including: families, victims of domestic violence, single adults with children, and single men. Community Homeless Solutions collaborates with several local agencies to provide integrated case management services that support individuals in moving forward with their lives in a positive and safe manner.
