RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Planning Commission:
1. Receive a report from staff providing background information related to the Moss Landing Community Plan Update;
2. Allow public testimony related to the background information; and
3. Direct staff to continue holding Planning Commission workshops related to developing draft policies for the Community Plan Update.

SUMMARY:
On July 10th, 2019, the Planning Commission made a motion to continue the 6th Planning Commission Workshop for the Moss Landing Community Plan Update to the July 31st Planning Commission Hearing due to a scheduling delay during the July 10th, 2019 Hearing and at the request of two members of the public. On July 18, 2019, a notice was distributed for the sixth PC workshop.
Staff has attached the July 10th, 2019 Planning Commission Workshop staff report that will be presented at the July 31, 2019 Planning Commission Hearing. Also attached are letters from the public received at the July 10th Hearing. The letters received addressed concerns regarding staff recommending the Planning Commission to provide direction on draft policies and/or proposed land use. However, the staff report provided is strictly intended for informational purposes in order to address background information requested from the Planning Commission at the last Planning Commission Workshop.
