RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with COWI, North America, Inc., extending the term of the agreement to March 31, 2021 for continuing project management services for the Interlake tunnel Project; and
b. Authorize the General Manager to execute Amendment No. 1.
SUMMARY DISCUSSION:
On November 11, 2018 the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Directors approved and recommended that the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Supervisors approve the Professional Services Agreement with COWI, North America, Inc., to provide Program Management Services for the Interlake Tunnel Project. On December 4, 2018, the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Supervisors approved the Professional Services Agreement with COWI.
This Amendment No. 1 will extend the term of the current Professional Services Agreement set to expire on October 31, 2019 to March 31, 2021. On August 19, 2019, the Board of Directors recommended the Board of Supervisors approve this Amendment No. 1.

FINANCING:
This agreement is Funded by Grant Agreement 4600011748 between the Agency and the State of California's Department of Water Resources and was included in the Agency's FY 2019-20 Budget.
