RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute an
Agreement with Access Support Network not to exceed the amount of $251,100 for the provision of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) non-medical case management services to Ryan White Part B clients for the retroactive period of October 1, 2019 to September 15, 2022.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Monterey County Health Department continues to provide services to individuals and communities in Monterey County affected by Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Access Support Network (ASN) serves the San Luis Obispo County and Monterey County communities, assisting individuals living with HIV and Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections. ASN offers testing and prevention education opportunities for various groups throughout the community.

In January 2017, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) originally awarded the Health Department supplemental Ryan White Part B funding for a one-year period to augment existing HIV non-medical case management services. For the last three years, CDPH has award the Health Department supplemental Ryan White Part B funding. CDPH recently awarded the Health Department a fourth year of supplemental funding. The start date of this Agreement is retroactive to October 1, 2019 due to the recent supplemental funding received from CDPH.
