RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Finance Committee:
a. Support approval of Change Order No. 6 to the contract with Graniterock Company for Nacimiento Dam spillway repair work to increase the contract amount by $9,517.00; and
b. Support authorizing the General Manager to execute the Change Order.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Graniterock Company performed repair work at Nacimiento Dam spillway in late 2017, early 2018, fall 2019 and early 2020, consisting of delaminated concrete removal and replacement, concrete spall repair, sealing concrete slab joints, grinding concrete slab joint offsets, and assisting with borescope exploration under the concrete chute slabs. Change Order No. 5 increased the contract amount by $260,000.00, with $60,000.00 allocated from the present fiscal year 2019-20 and $200,00 allocated from next fiscal year 2020-21. The total cost of work completed in the present fiscal year 2019-20 was underestimated by $9,517. This Change Order #6 increases the contract amount by $9,517.00 allocated from the present fiscal year 2019-20 to correctly pay for all work completed this fiscal year. Monies allocated from next fiscal year 2020-21 are only available for work to be performed during that fiscal year.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
FERC and DSOD approved the Scope of Work for Nacimiento Dam spillway repairs performed by Graniterock Company.

$9,517.00 payable from FY 2019-20 Fund 116 - Nacimiento Dam Operation and Maintenance
