RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Directors:

Approve Amendment No. 3 to the Agreement with Salinas Pump Company to extend the Agreement period through June 30, 2022 to provide well and pump maintenance, repair services and well logging services for the Castroville Seawater Intrusion Project (CSIP); and authorize the General Manager to execute Amendment No. 3

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On August 24, 2015, the Board of Directors approved a three-year Professional Services Agreement with Salinas Pump Company in the amount of $156,000 to provide maintenance, repair and well logging services for the CSIP supplemental wells and pumps on an as-needed basis.

On December 6, 2016, the Board of Directors approved Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with Salinas Pump Company in the amount of $150,000 to provide maintenance, repair and well logging services for the CSIP supplemental wells and pumps on an as-needed basis, and to extend the Agreement term to June 30, 2020. Amendment No. 2 increased the amount payable by $300,000 to provide rehabilitation and maintenance work on CSIP supplemental wells.

The purpose of Amendment No. 3 is to allow access to as-needed well logging services, maintenance and repair of CSIP wells and pumps through June 30, 2022. The Scope of Work for Amendment No. 3 remains the same as described in Exhibit A of the Agreement.

None.

Funds are available in Fund 131 - CSIP Operations and Maintenance.
