It is recommended that the Planning Committee:
Receive an update on strategic planning preparation for August 28, 2020 workshop.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Monterey County Water Resources Agency (Agency) staff has been working with Management Partners, Inc. to develop a five-year strategic plan for the Agency.
A staff survey was conducted in October 2019 and followed up with a staff only workshop in December 2019. At the workshop staff reviewed the Agency’s mission, vision, values and drafted some goals for the plan. Homework out of the workshop was to compile a list of Agency programs and projects, tie them to the appropriate section of the Agency Act and indicate funding availability.
The attached draft workbook has been prepared using the outcomes of the December 2019 staff workshop and the compiled programs and projects lists for review by this committee in preparation for the August 28, 2020 Board of Directors workshop.
It has been decided that the workshop will be conducted remotely on Zoom. Management Partners has experience conducting these types of workshops on a remote platform and will be working with staff to prepare.
