Title: a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign contract amendments with six agencies to add $294,000 of emergency CSBG funding from the Federal CARES Act (pursuant to the CARES Act, this funding may be used for services provided from July 1, 2020) and the planned 2021 CSBG Funding in the amount of $260,000, and extends the current 2020 calendar year contract period through December 31, 2021; and b. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign contract amendments with six agencies to add $294,000 of emergency CSBG funding from the Federal CARES Act (pursuant to the CARES Act, this funding may be used for services provided from July 1, 2020) and the planned 2021 CSBG Funding in the amount of $260,000, and extends the current 2020 calendar year contract period through December 31, 2021; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Monterey County Community Action Partnership (MCCAP) within the Department of Social Services (DSS) administers federal community service block grant (CSBG) funds allocated to the county by the California State Department of Community Services and Development (CSD). MCCAP seeks approval to amend the agency contracts to distribute 2020-21 CARES Act and 2021 CSBG funds allocated to the County.
