Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to sign an Amendment to the Agreement with First 5 Monterey County for reimbursement to the Probation Department in the amount of $267,170 for a total aggregate amount of $777,505, and extend the term of the Agreement for an additional two years through June 30, 2023 to support the Child Advocate Program; and
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to sign up to three (3) future amendments to this Agreement where the amendments do not exceed ten percent (10%) of the original contract amount ($51,033), and do not significantly change the scope of work.

SUMMARY:
The current Agreement is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2021. The Probation Department recommends the approval of the Amendment to the Agreement with First 5 Monterey County for reimbursement in the amount of $261,170 and the extension of the Agreement for two additional years through June 30, 2023 to support the Child Advocate Program and continue valuable services to children exposed to domestic violence at an early age.
