RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or the Assistant Director of Health to execute a Snowflake Data Access Agreement between the County of Monterey and the California Department of Public Health for the COVID-19 data access for the term two (2) years, effective upon execution of the Agreement.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Snowflake is a cloud-based data repository that serves as a centralized access point for authorized users to download COVID-19 data. Local health jurisdictions (LHJs) currently have access to vaccine data through Snowflake. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is now offering additional COVID-19 data via the Snowflake portal. Monterey County Health Department is seeking to enter into a Data Use Agreement (DUA) with CDPH for no-cost access to these data. Access to Snowflake requires a DUA for CalREDIE access, which was previously executed with CDPH. LHJs will be required to renew this agreement every two years.
