a. Approve and authorize the Director or Assistant Director of the Department of Social Services to sign Amendment #1 to the University Corporation at Monterey Bay to operate a county-wide homeless outreach and engagement services system, extending the term by one (1) year, for a new term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024 with nonstandard termination and indemnification terms and adding $250,000 for a total maximum of $500,000; and
b. Authorize the Director or Assistant Director of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three (3) amendments to the agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($50,000) of the original contract amount and do not significantly change the scope not to exceed the term maximum of $550,000.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director or Assistant Director of the Department of Social Services to sign Amendment #1 to the University Corporation at Monterey Bay to operate a county-wide homeless outreach and engagement services system, extending the term by one (1) year, for a new term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024 with nonstandard termination and indemnification terms and adding $250,000 for a total maximum of $500,000; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This Amendment is adding $250,000 and extending the term till June 30, 2024. The original agreement, awarded through a competitive Request for Proposals process (RFP #10844), provides for the operation of a Homeless Outreach and Engagement Services System providing urgent response to engage and support individuals experiencing homelessness 7 days a week, from 7 am to 7 pm throughout the County...
