Trotter, Kate, Steve Beck
Commissioner Diehl requested that staff receive public comment for each
section. The Commission agreed.

Staffs presentation included the strikethrough version of the Big Sur Land Use
Plan.
Direction was received from the Planning Commission and the public to
develop a land use plan that will formally be considered at a later stage by the
Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors and the California Coastal
Commission.
Key issues for further discussion were – Public Access to the Coast, Fire Fuel
Management and Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Areas (ESHA), Number
of Visitor Serving Uses and Groundwater Basin Transfers.
The Commission agreed to come back with this item for further discussion and
review of the policies.
Another session will be held on the August 11, 2021 Planning Commission
meeting.
