The Airport Land Use Commission meeting was called to order at 3:07 p.m.

PUBLIC COMMENTS
John Scherer (prior ALUC member) thanked the Commission for the ALUCs prior
appointment.
COMMISSIONER’S COMMENTS
Commissioner Leffel spoke regarding the low air mobility program, MRY did not win
IEPP, MRY considered for 1.5 million partnerships with DoT, UC Berkeley, Monterey
DART. Local school training for high students interested in aviation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approval of the April 27, 2026 Airport Land Use Commission Meeting minutes.

Motion by Commissioner Carbone, second by Commissioner Cohan to
approve the April 27, 2026 ALUC meeting minutes. Vote: 3-0, with one
abstention. Motion passes.
CONSENT
Approve the proposed calendar of Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) Regular Meeting dates
1.
for June 2026 through May 2027.
Motion by Commissioner Cleveland, second by Commissioner Leffel to adopt
the 2026-2027 calendar. Vote: 4-0. Motion passes.
SCHEDULED ITEMS
Commissioner Appointments
1.
Public hearing to consider the appointment of the ALUC general member.
Staff presented the item and informed the Commission of three applicants
requesting to be appointed to the ALUC as the at-large member.
Public member (John Scherer) requested the ALUC re-appoint him to the
ALUC.
Public member (Jim MccLenahan) requested the ALUC appoint him to the
ALUC.
