RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Resident Physicians Unit R for the period April 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On November 7, 2022, the Resident Physicians Unit R ratified a Tentative Agreement (TA) with the County of Monterey. The TA was considered and approved by the Board of Supervisors on November 8, 2022 in closed session. The full MOU is presented for formal approval action today.
The Resident Physicians Unit R MOU provides for changes to wages and benefits as presented.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Resident Physicians Unit R members and County of Monterey staff contributed to the development of the MOU as presented.
FINANCING:
The County’s estimated cost for the term of the Unit R - Residents Physicians contract is $472,466. Natividad absorbed the annualized cost of the Unit R agreement in FY 2022-23. If needed, Natividad will request additional funding during the budget process in FY 2023/24.
