a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between Clinica de Salud del Valle de Salinas (CSVS) and the County of Monterey, on behalf of the Monterey County Health Department, Behavioral Health Bureau for the purpose of referral to behavioral health services for CSVS patients, retroactive to November 1, 2022, for a term of November 1, 2022 through October 31, 2025;
b. Accept non-standard risk provisions (indemnity, insurance) as recommended by the Director of Health; and
c. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to approve up to three (3) future amendments that do not significantly alter the scope of services.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between Clinica de Salud del Valle de Salinas (CSVS) and the County of Monterey, on behalf of the Monterey County Health Department, Behavioral Health Bureau for the purpose of referral to behavioral health services for CSVS patients, retroactive to November 1, 2022, for a term of November 1, 2022 through October 31, 2025;
b. Accept non-standard risk provisions (indemnity, insurance) as recommended by the Director of Health; and
c. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to approve up to three (3) future amendments that do not significantly alter the scope of services.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The County had a multi-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Clinic de Salud del Valle which expired on October 31, 2022. This proposed MOU continues the collaboration between Clinica de Salud del Valle de Salinas (CSVS) and the County of Monterey and identifies the roles and responsibilities of each party with respect to referrals to behavioral health services for CSVS patients.
