RECOMMENDATION/SUMMARY:
a. Approve and authorize the Library Director or designee to enter a University-Organization agreement with University of Denver (Morgridge Online) for a period of three years in order to offer official internships for its students, specifically students in Masters of Library and Information Science and Masters of Archives and Records Administration Programs.

DISCUSSION:
University of Denver's Master's of Library and Information Science program is a source of graduate-level training for librarians. Monterey County Free Libraries (MCFL) has the opportunity to work with College of Health and Human Services interns locally thanks to the agreement with California State University Monterey Bay but they do not have the specified library science program there to prepare interns for future work in libraries.
The Agreement is a three-year agreement required by the University of Denver in order to offer official remote internships for credit. The University sought MCFL for remote internships in order to engage their Master's level library students. University of Denver has agreed to waive indemnity in order to comply with Monterey County Requirements.
