Before the Board of Supervisors in and for the
County of Monterey, State of California
Resolution No: 08-228
Approve augmentation of the Community Restorative Justice
Commission's membership to 18 members.
WHEREAS the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors established the Community
Restorative Justice Commission on September 26, 2000 to provide a more comprehensive and
integrated approach to delinquency prevention and crime response, under the principles of
restorative justice for long term healing, restoration and prevention;
WHEREAS the Community Restorative Justice Commission presently consists of the Chief
Probation Officer, the District Attorney, one member of the Board and 14 members appointed by
the Board of Supervisors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Community Restorative Justice Commission's
membership shall be increased 18 members as detailed in Exhibit A.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 24th day of June, 2008, upon motion of Supervisor Salinas,
seconded by Supervisor Armenta, by the following vote, to-wit:
AYES: Supervisors Armenta, Calcagno, Salinas, Mettee-McCutchon, Potter
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
