a. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign Renewal and Amendment No.3 to the Professional Services Agreement with Data 911 Mobile Computer Systems for the Sheriff's Office to retroactive to February 28, 2012 and increase the amount by $15,147 for a revised total amount of $55,956 for the repair and replacement of the mobile computer system components; and
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign future amendments to this agreement where the amendments do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign Renewal and Amendment No.3 to the Professional Services Agreement with Data 911 Mobile Computer Systems for the Sheriff's Office to retroactive to February 28, 2012 and increase the amount by $15,147 for the repair and replacement of the mobile computer system components; and;
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign future amendments to this agreement where the amendments do not significantly change the scope of work.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Sheriff's Office would like to renew the agreement between the County of Monterey Sheriff's Office and Data 911 Mobile Computer Systems for the continuation of one year maintenance contract for repair or replacement of systems and components. Data 911 manufactures rugged mobile data computers for wireless data communications in the automotive environment of the Sheriff's Office. The approval of Renewal and Amendment No.3 would retroactive to February 28, 2012 and of extend the term through February 28, 2013. Due to the extension for the services the Sheriff's Office would also need to increase the amount of the Agreement by $15,147. The total amount of the agreement would not exceed $55,956 for the period of December 4, 2008 to February 28, 2013. All remaining terms, conditions and provisions of the Agreement are unchanged and affected by this Renewal and Amendment No.3.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
County Counsel and Auditor-Controller have reviewed and approved this Renewal and Amendment No. 3 as to legal and fiscal provisions respectively.
FINANCING:
There is no increase in General Fund Contribution as a result of this recommendation.
