Before the Board of Supervisors in and for the
County of Monterey, State of California
Resolution No: 08-230
Approve the amendment of Article II of the Monterey County Master Fee
Resolution to adjust fees for plant quarantine visits or inspections that do
not result in the issuance of a certificate, and quarantine field crop
inspections.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds:
A. Section 1.40.010 of Chapter 1.40 of the Monterey County Code provides that all fees,
penalties, refunds, reimbursements and charges of any kind by the County may be specified
in the Monterey County Fee Resolution.
B. The Agricultural Commissioner's Office charges fees, which are determined by statute or
which cover the actual cost of the services that the office renders to the public.
C. Certain fees being charged by the Agricultural Commissioner's Office need to be adjusted in
order to reflect the costs of its services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors amends Article II of
the Monterey County Fee Resolution as set forth in the attached.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the schedules, fees, penalties and charges contained herein
are hereby adopted and go into effect July 1, 2008.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 24th day of June, 2008, upon motion of Supervisor Salinas,
seconded by Supervisor Armenta, by the following vote, to-wit:
