RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors:

a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute a retroactive Mental Health Services Agreement between the County of Monterey and OCD Anxiety Centers, LLC for the provision of a virtual intensive outpatient program for a total amount not to exceed $15,050 for the term of January 13, 2025 through March 17, 2025; and

b. Accept non-standard risk provisions as recommended by the Director of Health Services.

 

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION

OCD Anxiety Centers LLC Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program specializes in Exposure Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, weekly Family Exposure Groups, weekly DBT parent skills group, and individual, family, and group therapy sessions via telehealth.

 

This Agreement is retroactive to January 13, 2025 the date an emergency priority placement took place. OCD Anxiety Centers LLC. provided specialized residential OCD treatment services while contract negotiations took place to execute an Agreement.

 

The contractor’s services are highly specialized, and the Director of Health has recommended to waive the Cyber Liability Insurance to retain services. OCD Anxiety Centers LLC did not utilize an Electronic Health Record System while providing services. 

 

This work supports the following County of Monterey Health Department 2025-2028 Strategic Plan Goal(s): 2). Provide Exceptional Person-Centered Care through Accessible, Community-Focused Health Services. It also supports one of the ten essential public health services, specifically: 5) Develop policies and plans that support individual and community health efforts.

 

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT

The Office of the County Counsel and Auditor-Controller have reviewed and approved as to legal form and fiscal provisions, respectively.

 

FINANCING

This Agreement is funded by Realignment (100%). The funds for this Agreement are included in the Health Department’s Behavioral Health (HEA012, Unit 8410) Fiscal Year FY 2024-25 Adopted Budget.
