Title

Adopt a Resolution to:

a. Amend Personnel Policies and Practices Resolution (PPPR) No. 98-394 Appendix A to correct the base wage salary range of the Auditor-Controller Analyst I-II classification series as indicated in Attachment A, effective December 2, 2023;

b. Direct the County Administrative Office, Auditor-Controller, and the Human Resources Department to implement the changes in the Advantage Human Resources Management (HRM) System.

Report

RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors consider adopting a Resolution to:

a. Amend Personnel Policies and Practices Resolution (PPPR) No. 98-394 Appendix A to correct the base wage salary range of the Auditor-Controller Analyst I-II classification series as indicated in Attachment A, effective December 2, 2023;

d. Direct the County Administrative Office, Auditor-Controller, and the Human Resources Department to implement the changes in the Advantage Human Resources Management (HRM) System.

 

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

The Human Resources Department completed a base wage compensation study on the Auditor-Controller Analyst classification series.

 

The adjustment to the base wage salary was originally brought to the Board of Supervisors for review and consideration on November 28, 2023, with an effective date of December 2, 2023. However, it was brought to the Human Resources Department’s attention that the base wage salary range tables were incorrect. Therefore, we are bringing this item back before the Board of Supervisors for consideration to approve the correct base wage salary range tables with the same effective date of December 2, 2023.

 

FINANCING:

The financing was presented to the Board of Supervisors in the original report on November 28, 2023.

The proposed recommended actions address the Board of Supervisors Administration Strategic Initiative.  The actions demonstrate the County’s commitment to meeting the Board’s initiatives in recruiting, retaining, and attracting a diverse, talented workforce that supports the mission of Monterey County.
