RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve the updated Budget Committee Charter and authorize the County Administrative Office to publish the Charter as the governing document for the Budget Committee.
SUMMARY:
The County Administrative Office requests approval of the updated Budget Committee Charter. The Charter outlines the Committee’s purpose, authority, responsibilities, membership, and operating procedures.
DISCUSSION:
The Budget Committee provides oversight of the County’s budget processes and fiscal trends. The updated Charter clarifies authority, roles, fiscal review requirements, membership structure, and meeting protocols. The Charter aligns with current practices and supports transparent and responsible fiscal management.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT/COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Budget Committee reviewed the updated Charter and recommended forwarding it to the Board of Supervisors for adoption. The County Administrative Office coordinated the updates.
FINANCING:
Adoption of the Budget Committee Charter has no fiscal impact.
