policies governing legislative activities, specifically as it relates to not taking
action on items related to the Governor's budget proposal prior to action by the
Board of Supervisors.
Directed staff to find an alternate date for the Sacramento legislative advocacy
trip. And, requested meetings with Senators Blakeslee and Cannella,
Assemblymembers Monning and Alejo, and possibly Assemblymember Connie
Conway, and Secretary for Natural Resources John Laird.

Supervisor Armenta informed the Committee that he would be attending a NALEO
Conference on Redistricting and had invited his appointees to Monterey County's Citizens

SUMMARY & DISCUSSION:
The Legislative Committee met on January 20, February 1, February 28 and March 28, 2011.
The Committee submits for Board receipt the action minutes from those meetings. The action
minutes from the meetings were approved by the Legislative Committee as follows:
