SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

These services provided by Honeywell International will enable the County to provide the needed cooling infrastructure to keep internet technology equipment the proper temperature so as not to shorten the life of the equipment. As part of the Agreement, Honeywell International required the County to enter an Addendum with certain non-standard terms, namely:

1.                     Change orders may be proposed by either party in this Agreement.

2.                     No, right, title or interest in intellectual property (“IP”) provided by Contractor is transferred to Owner or County under the Agreement, including IP existing prior to, or created independently of, the performance of the Agreement.

3.                     Contractor will not be subject to any provisions, rules, or regulations whether State or Federal, that the County does not call out and flow down to Contractor in writing.

FINANCING:

The funding for this project was provided by a California State Library grant for a total of $32,522.50 that paid for the cooling system for the technology closet where our equipment is located and a new door.
