a. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or his designee to execute a Student Placement Agreement with Foothill DeAnza Community College District with an agreement term retroactive to July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026.
b. Approve the NMC Chief Executive Officer’s recommendation to accept non-standard indemnification and insurance provisions within the agreement.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the Board of Supervisors:
a. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or his designee to execute a Student Placement Agreement with Foothill DeAnza Community College District with an agreement term retroactive to July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026.
b. Approve the NMC Chief Executive Officer’s recommendation to accept non-standard indemnification and insurance provisions within the agreement.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
NMC strives to offer the highest quality care and best outcomes to patients and their families.
At the same time, the organization promotes professional development and continuous skill
acquisition among staff for the betterment of the community. One way this is achieved is by supporting clinical education agreements with colleges and universities for
specific clinical programs that suit the needs of the organization and the community.
NMC would like to renew the agreement with Foothill DeAnza Community College District
for the clinical internship for the Foothill College Health Science Program.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Office of County Counsel has reviewed and approved this agreement as to legal form, and the Auditor-Controller has reviewed and approved as to payment provisions.
FINANCING:
There is no cost associated with this agreement.
