RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Contracts Purchasing Officer, or designee, to execute Renewal and Amendment No. 3 to the Agreement with CliftonLarsonAllen LLP to provide audit services of the County of Monterey’s Measure X activity, adding 24 months for a revised term of November 1, 2019 to June 30, 2027, and $27,000 for a revised total contract liability of $94,500.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On November 1, 2019, the County of Monterey signed an agreement with CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) for independent audit services for the mandated audits of the County’s Measure X activity for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
On June 28, 2021, the County of Monterey and CLA signed Amendment No. 1, extending the term 12 months to allow for completion of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022 audit.
On June 29, 2022, the County of Monterey and CLA signed Amendment No. 2, extending the term 24 months to allow for completion of the fiscal years ending June 30, 2023 and June 30, 2024 audits.
The proposed Renewal and Amendment No. 3 would extend the term another 24 months to allow for completion of Fiscal Year 2024-2025 and Fiscal Year 2025-2026 audits, adding $27,000 to the agreement.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Office of the County Counsel and Auditor-Controller have reviewed and approved as to legal form and fiscal provisions, respectively.
FINANCING:
Funding for the proposed renewal and amendment is included in the ACO’s FY 25-26 Recommended Budget. No additional impact to the general fund is anticipated with this action.
