SUMMARYDISCUSSION:

The purpose of this agreement is to ensure that all children involved with Monterey County Family and Children’s Services receive a gift from the community during the holiday season.  The goal of the Holiday Project is for Monterey County Family and Children’s Services to work collaboratively with the Monterey County Association of Families Caring for Children to identify all system-involved youth during the holiday season and to provide each child with a gift for the holidays. Gifts are obtained through the provision of a gift drive conducted in the months leading to the holidays and are donated by local businesses and private individuals.  This agreement is retroactive to March 1, 2022 in order to pay for the storage of gifts that had already been collected by the Monterey County Association of Families Caring for Children.
