c. Authorize the Auditor-Controller to increase estimated revenue by $691,451 and appropriations by $1,572,536 in Facilities Maintenance Projects, Fund 401, Appropriation Code RMA004.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve the recommended list of facilities maintenance projects for allocation from the facilities maintenance projects fund, Fund 401;
b. Approve amendments to the FY 2012-13 Facilities Maintenance Projects Budget, Fund 401, RMA004, increasing estimated revenue by $691,451 and increasing appropriations by $1,572,536 (4/5th vote required); and
c. Authorize the Auditor-Controller to increase estimated revenue by $691,451 and appropriations by $1,572,536 in Facilities Maintenance Projects, Fund 401, Appropriation Code RMA004.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Facilities Maintenance Projects, Fund 401, provides funding for County facility maintenance and repair, and building equipment and control systems projects. The Fund 401, FY 2012-13 estimated beginning fund balance is $2.6 million. Staff is recommending modifying the current adopted budget for Fund 401 to reflect the most current estimated expenditures and revenues for on-going projects as well as appropriating funds for initiatives that the Board has acted on in FY 2012-13 that were not known at the time the budget was developed (refer to Attachment 1).
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Resource Management Agency in collaboration with the County Administrative Office, and other County departments worked to identify facility maintenance needs, related costs, and funding sources. This item was presented to the Budget Committee on January 30, 2013 and received their support.
FINANCING:
There is no negative impact to the General Fund. The Facilities Maintenance Projects Fund, Fund 401, Appropriation Code RMA004 has and will have sufficient funds appropriated in the proposed amended budget in FY 2012-13 for those Facilities Maintenance Projects listed in Attachment 1.
