SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

In October of 2024, the Agency Board of Director’s approved a Professional Services Agreement with McMillen Inc. in the amount of $1,445,000 to provide engineering design services for the San Antonio Dam Spillway Replacement Project.  These authorized phases of the project were funded by SB104.  May of 2024, the Agency secured approximately $16.15 million in funds under SB104 for use toward dam safety projects.  An estimated three (3) million dollars has been allocated toward the final design of the San Antonio Spillway Replacement Project.  This a reimbursable funding agreement and so Agency funds will be utilized to support the project until the reimbursements are received.

Upon submitting the Probable Maximum Flood Update and Alternatives Analysis Report to the Department of Water Resources (DWR) Division of Safety of Dams (DSOD), the Agency received comments back on the methodology used for the reports.  The DSOD comments and change to the methodology requirements will require additional services to complete and resubmit the reports to DSOD.  The cost for this additional work, Amendment No. 1 amounted to $35,980 for a new total contract not to exceed amount of $1,480,980.  This additional funding will be funded by SB104.
