SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

The purpose of this extension is to be able to pay ERATE discounted pricing for technology services to be rendered to Bradley Library, which has yet to be built.  These services provided by AMS.Net, Inc. will enable the County to ensure a reliable source for internet access for the community members of Bradley and Soledad. The project for Bradley will provide the internet cabling, internet technology rack, and data ports for the new Library.  The project for Soledad will replace existing internet cables upgrading to Cat 6 and move the internet technology rack. This project is 85% funded by Erate, 15% funded by the Library. Thus, total costs to the County will be $17,345.  This Agreement is for a not-to-exceed aggregate amount for this vendor of $115,634.

AMS.Net, Inc. was the best bidder under a competitive RFP bidding process through Erate.

FINANCING:

Funds for these services are contained within the approved budget allocations of the department utilizing the services. Expenditures will depend on the actual services requested by the County.
