Education.

Monterey County. The CCP is responsible for assessing the needs of child care and reviewing the

programs funded by the Stag Departments of Education and Social Services.

Approximately 85% of coun y level child care planning councils throughout California are

administered by County Off ces of Education and, as a result, there is a network of support. The

Monterey County Office of ducation MCOE) currently operates many county-wide, early

education efforts and is exp ienced in meeting contractual requirements of the California

Department of Education.

OTHER AGENCY INVO VEMENT:

The CCPC and the Montere County Superintendent of Schools have collaborated in the planning

process and support the tran fer of administration of the CCPC to Monterey County Office of

Education.
