a. Approve and authorize the Director or designee of the Department of Social Services to sign Amendment No. 2 to Agreement #5010-157 with Chmura Economics & Analytics, LLC for the provision of licenses and support access to job employment data by adding $20,406 for a new contract total of $98,243, and extending the term by twelve (12) months for a new agreement term of February 1, 2021 to January 31, 2026;
b. Authorize the Director or designee of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three amendments to this Agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($9,824) of the amended contract amount, do not significantly change the scope of work, and do not exceed the maximum aggregate amount of $108,067.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director or designee of the Department of Social Services to sign Amendment No. 2 to Agreement #5010-157 with Chmura Economics & Analytics, LLC for the provision of licenses and support access to job employment data by adding $20,406 for a new contract total of $98,243, and extending the term by twelve (12) months for a new agreement term of February 1, 2021 to January 31, 2026;
b. Authorize the Director or designee of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three amendments to this Agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($9,824) of the amended contract amount, do not significantly change the scope of work, and do not exceed the maximum aggregate amount of $108,067.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This agreement provides the Department of Social Services (DSS), CalWorks Employment Services (CWES) with data analytics and support services provided by Chmura Economics & Analytics, LLC. for tracking the employment opportunities around the State of California, and inside the County of Monterey. Provide access to an internally verified database source of employers recruiting for positions around Monterey County and provides visibility into the job growth sectors around the county for clients to use.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Office of County Counsel has reviewed and approved the Agreements as to form, as has the Auditor-Controller’s Office as to financial provisions.
FINANCING:
Funding for this agreement is provided through Federal and State Social Services Funds. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues in SOC005 are included in the FY 2024-25 Adopted Budget. Future costs will be incorporated into the corresponding budget process.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS STRATEGIC INITIATIVES:
This Agreement correlates to the Health & Human Services Strategic Initiative adopted by the Board of Supervisors by allowing DSS to improve the quality of life of CalWorks clients seeking to be employed and maintain eligibility with current program objectives.
