Attendant    in   the    County   Department of       

General     Services     Fleet   Management           

Division,     Upon    His   Retirement...............  

 

Whereas,    Michael    K.    Roebuck    prepared    for    a    career    in    Electronics    by   earning an

Associate    Science    degree    in    Electronics    from    El    Camino    College,  Torrance, California,

and

 

Whereas,    Michael    K.    Roebuck    began    his    public    service    career    as    a  Courier in the

Monterey    County    Department    of   Fleet    Management    in    January    of    1994    and promoted to

Senior   Service   Station   Attendant   in   April,   1995, and

 

Whereas,    Michael    K.    Roebuck    was    honored    March    7,     2000    with    a    Certificate  of

Appreciation    by    the    United    Veterans    Council    of    Monterey    County    for    services  and

contributions    to    the    veterans    programs    of   Monterey County, and

 

Whereas,     Michael     K.     Roebuck    was     recognized     March,     2006     with    a Certificate of

Recognition      by      Monterey      County's      Fleet      Management      Division       for   exemplary

performance    and    customer    service    rendered,  and

 

Whereas,    Michael    K.    Roebuck    was    instrumental    in    overseeing    the    safe and serviceable

operation   of  the   County's   compressed   natural   gas   fueling   station,  and

 

Whereas,     Michael    K.     Roebuck     has     provided     more     than     twelve    years of exemplary

service    to    County    departments    and    programs    by    providing    top  quality customer service,

and

 

Whereas,   Michael   K.    Roebuck   retired    from   public    service    on   May 19, 2006,

 

NOW,      THEREFORE,      BE      IT      RESOLVED      that      the      Monterey      County      Board  of

Supervisors,    on    behalf   of   the    County    and    all    citizens    thereof,   hereby acknowledges,

commends,     and    congratulates    Michael    K.    Roebuck    on    the    occasion    of   his retirement

from    the    County    of   Monterey    after    twelve    years    of   dedicated   service, and wishes him

success,   health,   and   happiness   in   all  his future endeavors.
