a. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts Purchasing Supervisor to execute a Renewal and Amendment to the Agreement between Hayashi and Wayland and the County, for auditing services for the Office of the District Attorney, extending the agreement to December 31, 2024 and increasing the total amount payable to $150,180; and
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Office or Contract Purchasing Supervisor to issue purchase orders on an as-needed basis pursuant to this Renewal and Amendment over the period July 1, 2021 through December 31, 2024.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute a Renewal and Amendment to the Agreement between Hayashi and Wayland and the County, for auditing services for the Office of the District Attorney, extending the agreement to December 31, 2024 and increasing the total amount payable to $150,180; and
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Office or Contract Purchasing Supervisor to issue purchase orders on an as-needed basis pursuant to this Renewal and Amendment over the period July 1, 2021 through December 31, 2024.
SUMMARY:
The Office of the District Attorney has utilized the auditing services of Hayashi and Wayland since July 2019, and desires to renew and amend that original agreement, to continue these services through December 2024. These services fulfill a requirement from the California Department of Insurance, to have external auditing services for the Workers Compensation Insurance Fraud, Automobile Insurance Fraud and Disability and Insurance Fraud Grants.
All other terms and conditions, as set forth in the original agreement, remain unchanged, as detailed in the attached Renewal and Amendment.

None
FINANCING:
The cost of these auditing services is currently budgeted and will not require any additional funding.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS STRATEGIC INITIATIVES:
The proposed recommended actions address the Board of Supervisors Administration Strategic Initiative, providing a local business the opportunity to audit selected financial transactions and ensure the proper and efficient use of public funds.
