RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors adopt a Resolution:
a. Accepting the Certificate of Completion for construction of the Crack Seal 2012 Project, Contract No. 12-551225, performed by Graham Contractors, Inc.; and
b. Authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute and record the Notice of Completion for the Crack Seal 2012 Project, Contract No. 12-551225, performed by Graham Contractors, Inc.
 
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On April 10, 2012, the Board of Supervisors awarded a contract to Graham Contractors, Inc. for construction of the Crack Seal 2012 Project, Contract No. 12-551225 (Project), in the total amount of $243,836.64.  The Project consists of furnishing and installing crack seal (Complete-In-Place) to various roads in Monterey County.
 
Northbound Jolon Road was not crack sealed due to unforeseen additional cracks and insufficient contingency funds.  Southbound Jolon Road was cracked sealed from HWY 101 King City to HWY 101 Bradley.  The contract is now complete in all respects in accordance with the Plans and Special Provisions.  The work is ready to be accepted by the Board.
 
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
None.
 
FINANCING:
There is no impact to the General Fund.  The total cost for this Project including project management, environmental engineering, and construction was $316,224.57.  The Project was fully funded by the Road Fund (Fund 002, Unit 8195).
