a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or his designee to execute an Agreement with Golden Star Catering for catering services at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca beginning August 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022, for a not to exceed amount of $300,000; and
b. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or his designee to execute up to three (3) future amendments to this Agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 20% ($60,000) of the agreement amount and do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or his designee to execute an Agreement with Golden Star Catering for catering services at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca beginning August 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022, for a not to exceed amount of $300,000; and
b. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or his designee to execute up to three (3) future amendments to this Agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 20% ($60,000) of the agreement amount and do not significantly change the scope of work.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This request supports the use of Golden Star Catering for catering services during spectator events and track rentals at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Caterers work directly with third party clients to create a budget, menu, and schedule. WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca facilitates the third-party client and caterer meetings.
WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is responsible for paying the catering for three locations per event, Flagroom Hospitality, Individual Pit Row Suite Hospitalities, and the Rolex Drivers Club.
The County collects an 18% commission on all food and hard liquor sales to third-party clients and hospitalities.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Office of the County Counsel has reviewed and approved the agreement as to form.
FINANCING:
Funds for these services are contained within the approved budget allocations of the department utilizing the services. Expenditures will depend on the actual services requested by the County.
