a. Approve and Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or the Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute an Agreement between the County of Monterey, for services at Monterey County Health Department and MCSI Water Systems Management, Inc. for the provision of management and consulting services for a small non-community water system, in the amount of $50,000 for a term of July 01, 2023, through June 30, 2026; and
b. Approve the recommendation of the Director of Health to accept all non-standard provisions in the Agreement.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or the Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute an Agreement between the County of Monterey, for services at Monterey County Health Department and MCSI Water Systems Management, Inc. for the provision of management and consulting services for a small non-community water system, in the amount of $50,000 for a term of July 01, 2023, through June 30, 2026; and
b. Approve the recommendation of the Director of Health to accept all non-standard provisions in the Agreement.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The County of Monterey has maintained an agreement with MCSI Water Systems Management, Inc. for several years to provide management and consulting services for the small non-community water system at the Monterey County Animal Services Shelter Facility.
This Agreement will continue the necessary operation and functionality of the water system at the Monterey County Animal Services Shelter Facility.
This work supports the Monterey County Health Department 2018-2022 Strategic Plan Goals: 1. Empower the community to improve health; 2. Enhance community health and safety through prevention. It also supports one or more of the ten essential public health services, specifically: 3. Inform, educate, and empower people about health issues; and 4. Mobilize community partnerships and action to identify and solve health problems.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Offices of the County Counsel and the Auditor-Controller have reviewed and approved this Agreement as to legal form and fiscal provisions, respectively.
FINANCING:
Appropriations for this Agreement are included in the Health Department’s (HEA001-8442) FY 2023-24 Requested Budget and provision for it will be made in the Department’s Requested Budget for the years out as needed.
