stabilizing family incomes and promoting family self sufficiency. The initial program was designed

to serve 180 CalWORKs recipients. The program has been so successful that 284 customers are

currently working in subsidized jobs and approximately 100 more are awaiting placement. In order

to serve this population additional appropriations and contract authority are needed.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

County Counsel, Purchasing, and the Auditor-Controller have reviewed and approved this

amendment.
