RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve the Bingo License Application for Chualar Parent Teacher Club pursuant to Chapter 7.08 of the Monterey County Code effective Tuesday, October 15, 2024, through Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
SUMMARY:
On Monday, August 26, 2024, the Chualar Parent Teacher Club submitted a Bingo License application to the Clerk of the Board with the requisite $50.00 application fee. The Clerk of the Board transmitted a memo along with a copy of the application to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, for a ten-day review, pursuant to Chapter 7.08 of the Monterey County Code.
The Sheriff’s office has reviewed the materials and provided a written response to the Clerk of the Board with no objections to the issuance of the bingo license.
Pursuant to Chapter 7.08 of the Monterey County Code, the Monterey County Board of Supervisors is the responsible body for the issuance of Bingo Licenses. Upon approval by the Board of Supervisors, the Clerk of the Board will issue the applicant the Bingo License effective Tuesday, October 15, 2024, through Tuesday, October 14, 2025 a draft of which is attached to this board report and will notify the Sheriff’s Department of the final board action pertaining to this application.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Sheriff’s office has reviewed the application and has no objection to the issuance of the bingo license.
FINANCING:
Approval of this recommendation will have no financial impact.
