RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute Renewal and Amendment No.3 to retroactively extend the terms between the County of Monterey, and Salinas Valley Collision Repair, to extend the term of existing auto repair services, for an additional three (3) months from July 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On June 10, 2013, the County of Monterey, entered into an agreement with Salinas Valley Collision Repair to provide auto body repair services for Monterey County Fleet Management to service County of Monterey vehicles, for a term of six (6) years for the period of June 10, 2013 to July 1, 2019. The parties renewed and amended the original agreement multiple times and most recently on June 30, 2020 to extend the term to continue services in order to allow enough time to complete the pending Request for Quotes (RFQ) #10751 for future auto body services going forward. That agreement expired on June 30, 2020. The RFQ process has now been completed and Master Agreements for auto body services under the terms and conditions of the RFQ have been executed and were effective October 1, 2020.
Salinas Valley Collision Repair has continued to provide services to Fleet, and Fleet wishes to renew and amend the agreement via this renew and amendment No. 3 to retroactively extend the term for three (3) additional months through September 30, 2020, in order to fill the gap between the current agreement that expired on June 30, 2020 and the Master Agreements (through the new RFQ) beginning on October 1, 2020.

The Office of the County Counsel and the Auditor-Controller have reviewed and approved Renewal and Amendment No. 3 as to form and fiscal provisions, respectively.
