Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to ratify and approve with Speedcast Productions, LLC dba Apex Broadcast (Producer) to produce video programs of 2019 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion event at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The term of the Agreement began August 1, 2019 and terminated August 20, 2019. Work contracted under this Agreement shall not exceed $130,847 in accordance with the terms and conditions set within the Agreement.

RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to ratify and approve with Speedcast Productions, LLC dba Apex Broadcast (Producer) to produce video programs of 2019 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion event at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The term of the Agreement began August 1, 2019 and terminated August 20, 2019. SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The request for ratification is due to several factors, one being the timing of the event, and secondly the management firm was unable to secure the required services in a timely manner. The execution of the agreement prior to Board approval enabled the County to ensure a reliable source to provide video programs of the 2019 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion event at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The Agreement was put in place while the Vendor was being properly registered in the County Advantage System. The term of the Agreement began August 1, 2019 and scheduled to terminate August 20, 2019. Work contracted under this Agreement shall not exceed $130,847 in accordance with the terms and conditions set within the Agreement.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
County Counsel has reviewed and approved the Agreement.
Auditor-Controller has reviewed and approved the Agreement.
FINANCING:
Funds for these services are contained within the approved budget allocations of the department utilizing the services. Expenditures will depend on the actual services requested by the County.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS STRATEGIC INITIATIVES:
These actions will help ensure the timely provision of necessary services to all County Departments.
